SHORE REFERENCE 56 · NORTHEAST & NORTH SHORE

Haleʻiwa Beach Park

Public reference for the park shore on the east side of the harbor. The coordinate identifies an access reference; it does not measure fish location or seabed terrain.

Access reference, not a guaranteed fishing position

Historical public shore-access inventory, 2008. Fish catches, underwater features and a usable fishing stance have not been verified at this coordinate.

What this reference can tell you

This entry provides a starting point for observing the actual coastal habitat. Potential targets depend on the sand, rock and water you can see; no fish presence or underwater feature is established by the access coordinate.

Reach the public shoreline by the stated access, inspect the water and select a permitted shore position with a clear return path. Choose a target and presentation from what is visible on site, rather than from this entry coordinate.

Before choosing a place to cast

  • Public reference for the park shore on the east side of the harbor.
  • If fishing within the Waialua Bay management boundary, use no more than one line or one pole with two hooks. Confirm the boundary at the actual fishing position.
  • Historical public shore-entry coordinate in WGS84, from the 2008 inventory. Current access and the actual shore position require checking.

Check the exact water

  • The one-line or one-pole, two-hook limit applies when fishing inside the Waialua Bay management boundary. Do not apply it to every part of the beach without checking the actual position.

Location markers are not permission to fish. Regulations, park hours, emergency closures and signs can change after this page was reviewed.

Conditions can change the plan

  • Keep shore fishing clear of vessels, launch activity and navigation channels. Check the actual casting space on arrival.
  • Check the current surf forecast and breaking waves at the shoreline; an access listing does not establish suitable conditions.

A favorable forecast is not a safety clearance. Observe the shore from a dry, stable position and leave when conditions exceed your ability.
