PRIVACY

Useful without building a profile.

Tideline is designed to work without accounts, ad trackers or selling personal information. This page explains what the current site does and what remains on your device.

Information kept in your browser

Saved places, trip items, notes, checklist choices, custom pins and planning preferences are stored in your browser’s local storage. Tideline does not upload those saved items to a user account. Clearing site data in your browser removes them.

Optional location access

The “Near me” control asks the browser for an approximate device location only after you choose it. That location is used in the page to sort places by straight-line distance and is not saved by Tideline. You can deny the request and continue using search.

Network requests, hosting and analytics

The site requests public forecast data through its own conditions endpoint and is delivered by Cloudflare Pages. Like other hosting and security providers, Cloudflare may process connection data such as IP address, request time and user agent for delivery, abuse prevention and operational logs. Tideline also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for privacy-first, aggregate measurements such as page visits and referrers. It is not used to create Tideline user accounts or personal profiles, and no advertising script is loaded.

Feedback and future changes

The feedback control opens your own email app; Tideline does not collect the message through a web form. Email is handled by your mail provider and the recipient’s provider. If advertising or materially different analytics is added later, this page will be updated before those tools are represented as active. Privacy questions can be sent to clouhine@gmail.com.
